Michael P. Hamer is a lifelong salesperson. He began his sales career at age seven, on the streets of Gary Indiana, selling eggs with his grandfather, a deeply religious man. In high school, he sold the typical products that one finds a teenager selling. Duringhis college years, Michael spent a summer selling books door-to-door in Los Angeles. He also sold advertising space at a theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while in college. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Communications concentrating in advertising and marketing.
After college, Hamer spent almost thirty years in advertising sales in the radio and cable TV industries (WashingtonDC market). He held a variety of positions from Account Executive to General Sales Manager, most notably with CBS Radio, WTOP Radio, and Media General. In Michael’s last media position, he served as a Sales Executive and Manager with WAVA Radio, a Christian Teaching and Talk Radio Station. Michael has received numerous awards and notable recognition for his sales and management accomplishments. Moved by the need for more transparency and accountability in Corporate America, Michael promotes the return to time-honored ethical business practices in today’s complex, evolving economy.
